Searching for my Final project and the materials I need.

Today I started my Hackster page for this project. I know that I want to make a boombox as my project. right now I'm looking up components that I will need to purchase for the project. I'm looking up amplifiers and speakers right now. I do not really know that much about speakers no I'm doing a lot of research about what I need.

I looked up different type of speaker styles and looked deeper on how to make the speaker function.

I decided that I am going to make the amplifier. I ordered a kit offline. I also did more research about amplifiers and how they work.

I finished soldering all the components onto the board. The process took me a couple of days to finish. I still need to solder on the transformers to the board and then ill be finished. I also lost a small capacitor on the board that I ordered and it should be in soon.
I also have been researching speakers I am going to use with this amplifier. I have not found anything yet.
I finished the amplifier and it works well, I also talked over the phone and over e-mail to sales at parts-express.com to help me select the speakers to work with. I ultimately settled on a woofer, for the low end, and a tweeter, for the high end.
I also had to order a 2-way crossover for the speakers. a crossover splits the frequencies and sends the hi frequencies to the tweeter and the low frequencies to the woofer.
2-way crossover
once I ordered the drivers I decided to start working the the cabinets. I decided to make a mockup of my cabinets put of foam core board because it is an easy material to manipulate. I settled on making my cabinets 16x10x8 inches.
I also started maping out my design of the front of the speakers on a computer. I was able to make the front fairly easily. on the website they gave good measurements of the the diameters of the drivers and they worked out fine. I put the piece of wood onto the cutting station to be cut.
after cutting out two identical pieces of the board. I started cutting out the other pieces of the cabinet. after making the sketch of how I wanted to parts to fit together, I cut out the pieces.
I started making the other pieces for the cabinet. these were fairly easy cuts because I made a sketch and calculation of the sizes. I had to remember that the board is 3/4 inch thick.
After cutting out the board. I made holes in the board to put the joints.
after I finished putting together the joints all I had to do was wire the pieces together. I screwed in the crossover to the bottom. I also wired in the drivers into the holes, making sure that I placed them symmetrically.
I then wired the drivers to the crossover. this was hard because the connectors from the wired kept on falling off because I didn't have the proper equipment. I ended up soldering about half pf the connectors on to make sure they didn't fall off.
after wiring up the speakers, I screwed on the back and wired the speakers to the amplifier. The speakers worked without a problem. there is some noise that happens when there is no music playing. the problem is in the amplifier and I don't know how to stop this from happening.
