When Mr. Holzwarth first assigned Sebastian and I this project we knew we didn’t want make something simple and basic. We wanted to challenge ourselves even if our final product wasn’t as pretty. We started off making a 1/6 model, so we could have clear idea before we make the life size product.
We decided to combine a chair, table, and pedals. Both of us our big on exercising and wanted to implement a way you can study and burn a few calories at the same time.
To make our bases and sides strong and sturdy we have to glue pieces of cardboard together. We made 6 layers 5 different times. It was a long and time consuming process, but it is a necessity unless you want your product to be weak and floppy. If you continue to click the arrow in the picture above you will find a picture of Sebastian or me using a electrical saw to cut our cardboard. This was both Sebastian and my favorite parts of making this product.
