The technology should help us live more comfortable, longer or in this case, safer. Climbing is one of the most difficult sports a human can face, climbing is one of those experiences many people prefer to do by themselves or in very small groups, or even couples. For instance, in the everest mount, there are many victims each year, who die by the simple fact that the cold is so extreme that they get lost or have problems locating the way back or way forward.
This is where the beaglebone enters, a beaglebone with a solar panel charging a LiPo battery, and carried above the back part of the neck so the most solar energy gets taken and also sensing the temperature of the body near the skull can guarantee a system intelligent enough to know when a climber is in trouble, when the temperature of the body gets too low the beaglebone will activate an alarm that can be heard from some meters of distance. A bluetooth dongle will be enable as iBeacon so other beaglebones of nearby climbers notice and scan nearby climbers and notice when one of them is nearby the path.
Additionally to the speaker that serves as alarm, the beaglebone will have an LED strip that will serve as an indicator, so if the user gets in trouble, the sun will be constantly charging the LiPo battery and it will subministrate enough energy to keep alerting on problems. Only two colors will light up when on trouble, if the user is in real trouble, the LED strip will become red, if the LED strip is green, it means a nearby person was found via the iBeacon protocol.
The importance of using iBeacon protocol is because the stallites might get lost on strong winds or snowy storms while the ibeacon protocol as it is linear it can work better.
