Never look for an empty meeting room again.

Pointman lives in your conference rooms and meeting spaces to check if people show up for the meetings they've booked. When there's a no show, meeting room time opens up on your calendar instantly. If there's an empty room, Pointman lets you instantly book the space using NFC.

How Pointman Works

Step 1: Import Calendar Information

Currently integrated with Google Calendar, Pointman collects an organization's meeting information and presents the schedule by meeting space.

Step 2: Check On Meetings

Whenever Pointman determines that a meeting should be taking place, it looks for motion in the room. If no motion occurs for ten minutes, Pointman will unbook the room on the calendar.

Step 3: Instantly Book Meetings

If you find an empty room, Pointman will allow you to instantly book it using your employee badge. Or, you can book at any time from the realtime meeting room interface.

Step 4: Learn

Pointman will collect data about your company's meeting room habits and make useful scheduling suggestions. Additionally, Pointman will determine repeat offenders for meeting no-shows for public shaming purposes.

Product Description

In offices throughout the world, employees struggle to find meeting and collaborative spaces because all available conference rooms and common spaces are booked. The problem can begin as companies begin to scale and the need for meeting rooms grows, but companies can very quickly reach a tipping point where managing how conference rooms get booked becomes an intractable, bureaucratic challenge.
Meeting spaces may often be reserved in a recurring fashion that exists on the calendar, but may not always occur in real life. In both of these scenarios, the time will remain booked on the calendar, and industrious employees will be unable to find a meeting space on the fly.

Enter Pointman. Pointman lives in meeting rooms and checks to see if meeting attendees show up for their scheduled meetings. If no one arrives after ten minutes, the time slot will open up on the calendar to allow individuals to instantly book the room. Additionally, if an employee finds an empty meeting room, Pointman will allow you to instantly reserve the room using the near field communication technology often found in employee badges.
