The Flyingbear p902 has a printing area of 220*220*280 mm. It has a heated bed, so you can print all sorts of materials(PLA, ABS, PETG, Wood, PVA and Flexible Filaments). It is a DIY kit so you need to build it yourself. This will take a few hours/days/weeks (It took me about 3 weeks, but i wasn't able to do much a day). The printing speed is from 30 to 150 mm/sec. The nozzle diameter is 0.4mm and the filament diameter is 1.75mm. The chassis is made from metal, so it's very stable. The Flyingbear p902 3d printer is compatible with Cura and Repetier-Host. You can print files from a sd card and directly from your computer.
Flyingbear p902 installationThe Flyingbear has 8 installation videos.
They are easy to follow and help you through the whole process of building the Flyingbear 3d printer. In the Flyingbear 3d printer kit are all the parts needed, except for the screws (that was a mess, so we needed to get several at the local hardware store).
A few things were not in the installation video:
- Attach the x axis belt with, for example, glue & tie wraps.
- The x axis limit switch needs to be attached like this;
For some reason i cannot upload my own video, so i got a video from youtube (it looks exactly the same). I will try to upload my own video soon.
Flyingbear p902 upgrades:The Flyingbear p902 is a Arduino 3d printer on which you can build further. Here are a few things you can do to ugrade your Arduino 3d printer:
- Get an extra extruder and upgrade your 3d printer to a dual extruder 3d printer
- Get your 3d printer auto leveling
The Flyingbear p902 is driven by Marlin software. If you are building your own 3d printer and for some reason the code is not on the Arduino (or you're building your own DIY 3d printer) you can download it at http://marlinfw.org/ .
3d printer software:With the Flyingbear p902 you can print 3d files from a sd card (insert the sd card at the back of the lcd screen). https://www.thingiverse.com/ is a website were you can download cool 3d printer models (try to search Flyingbear p902, you'll get upgrades on the Flyingbear p902). When you downloaded a file open it in Cura ( https://ultimaker.com/en/products/cura-software ), and upload it to your sd card. Always get files through Cura (or other slicing software), because it will slice the model to code the 3d printer will understand.
