Story

I am student of Kerala School VP. There was a science exhibition in my school. The main theme of the exhibition was Sustainable Development. I had only an Arduino UNO, ultrasonic sensor, breadboard, and some jumper wires. I thought of making something which is suitable for the theme. In urban areas water resources are used recklessly. In houses, schools, apartments, offices etc water is being used more than what we need. More than that water is being wasted in many ways. We are currently facing water crisis yet we waste water. So I made a project which Revolves around the management and usage of water in a proper way.

Now about my project, imagine there a 4 people in a family living in a house. For sustainable development of water, every one person should only use 30 Liters of water per day. Then for 4 people, they should only use 120 Liters. Now also imagine they have a tank of 500 liters at the top of their house. If I applied my project to the tank it can measure how much amount of water is being depleted in the tank. If more than 120 liters of water has depleted in the tank then they are not moving towards sustainable development of water. If they succeeded to limit there usage up to 120 liter they have conserved water.

If we use more than the required amount of water a read light will blink and a green light if you limited the use. The second reading take place after 1 hour only. This is done to get an accurate value of the amount. This Project can be used any any place to Use water carefully.
