Current ideas

I have made a mind map to help visualise some of the ideas that I have for the project. The mind map has all of my key ideas that the project could be based upon please feel free to suggest any ideas you may have.

My thoughts so far

After setting out my ideas for the project I decided to narrow the ideas down so I can develop on them. I decided that I would like 4 channels at 32V 10A I chose this because I am able to get 2 toroidal transformers that have two 35v outputs. I have to use two toroidal transformers as I am unable to find 4X35v transformers. I also decided that I would like to have a coloured LCD with rubber buttons as I like how it looks on many other power supply's. I also wanted the outputs to have the ability to be put in parallel and in series internally so that I would be able to save having to connect wires between the channels in order to achieve this. Also all the channels will be galvanically isolated and be able to capture the screen of the power supply onto a memory stick.

Progress on the project

I am just at the key ideas stage and ask that if anyone has ideas or suggestions for the project before I go onto start the initial design for the project. As I progress further into the project I will post updates on my website and when the project is done I will write a full project report.
