This project isn't quite finished as I have not received my board in time for the contest closing, but I am going to publish it anyway and enter it.
I will be updating you on the code and build instructions as they happen. Stay tuned!
I know monitoring your house can seem creepy but it is the reality that when you leave you have no control of what goes on in your home. I have developed a board that can covertly be hidden and report to you the ambient temperatures, movement, vibrations and sounds in your home while you are away. I will provide the gerber file so you can just send it away and have it made if you wish. Or you can change it and call it your own. I have included a DIY Arduino and a LoRa transmitter board into it as well for long distance and other device connections. I will attempt to connect the Sensor Tile to the LoRa BLE board wirelessly to report to you in real time.
I soldered the sensor tile to the Adapter and installed it into the Plastic Case provided .. one this is a really neat sensor and have taken it on walks etc and its only failing is that it requires a phone or bluetooth to Transmit data to an outer source.. I will print out the PCB sheet and demonstrate where it will be installed.. I am going to use a serial program that talks to the LoRa /Ble chip and configure it to talk to the sensor tile ..Then the data will be transmitted via LoRa (Long Range Low Bandwidth) to a gateway and data base where it will be available anywhere in the world.
The Sensor tile will be powered by the board which will save battery power and charge it for when you really need it..
