Uvie cleans the table

Long story short

Uvie is a small robot, which crawls along table surfaces disinfecting the surface with UV-C. It detects the edge of the table and knows when the whole surface has been disinfected. A ring of UV-C led lights, 10 mm from the surface, sweeps over the table, driven by the two wheel robot in the middle of the ring.

A Raspberry Pi guides the robot and forms an image of the table area with the help of IR sensors. The process is continuously reported to a web site.

Typical usage

At shift break, workers leave the working place. Uvie is placed on the table. Uvie starts crawling along the surface. The workers can check on a web page how Uvie is doing. The next shift workers can start with a disinfected table.
