I always worry about if my garage door is open and if I have left a light on. This will allow me to monitor the status of the garage door and send me an alert if it is open past a certain hour, and allow me to close the garage. This will also allow me to monitor the light level in my garage as I also happen to leave the light on. I will also monitor the temperature and open the garage door a small amount if the temperature outside is less than the temperature inside. Additionally this will provide visual feedback on the location of cars in the garage for a parking aid, letting the driver know when the car has been pulled in far enough
