I wanted to build a under $300 solution control panel for handling my Arduino devices through out the home. Originally I looked into iPad mounts but it made since to custom build my own solution using Linux, Raspbian and a web interface using a touch screen.
Behind the device has a Raspberry Pi 3 which talks to another raspberry in my home over wifi and controls Arduino devices over 433mhz with a rfm69 wireless module. I'm able to listen to doors opening and closing at the moment and open/close my garage door, check if garage is open/closed etc..
I want to run backyard lights, inside lights, custom alarm system, door sensors, music player, calendar updates, pool temp, AI voice when entering and leaving the home, and a few other things.
At the moment I have the door sensors working and done and I will be updating this project as I go with more details and videos.
Current video shows the progress so far.
