Problem:
Typical Whiteboards/boards and Smart boards available in the market and used in most of the Schools, Universities, Institutes and in Companies don't enable digitization of the content out of the box including customization of workflows and have a higher total cost of ownership (TCO).
Solution:
The proposed solution leverages existing passive boards for Digital transformation with custom workflows which offer good user experience with data backup and security features. This solution will allow for lower total cost of ownership (TCO) and a faster return on investment (ROI).
This proposed solution will not only be suitable for educational purposes but will also augment user applications in specialist fields of engineering and medicine.
This solution will use mechanisms similar to Project Silica which uses Rack and Shuttles with Shuttle management software. Here channels will be used to move the board around like in a flatbed scanner.
This will leverage AMD kit to scan the whiteboard content and convert the text and images to different digital formats using OCR to save it locally and then to the cloud storage (e.g AWS S3 bucket) for long term storage. PYNQ framework with Jupyter runbooks and a scrubber functionality to scrub the whiteboard post scanning.
