Please refer to this reference for the description.

What I did here is simulate the circuit prior to an eventual practical physical implementation. By simulating this schematics, and by adding the thermal aspects (heat dissipated into the resistor and pmos directly injected into the system to control), it's possible to visualize the temperature variations of this system and of the thermistor.

A spice netlist is given for the SG3525A. The correspondance between the data sheet pins and the spice model is as follows (most correspondances are obvious but beware of the small possible mismatches for some of them)

Calibration of the controlled temperature (described into the description) is virtually possible by adjusting yje relative values of R3 and R6 (1K and 9 K= sum of both being 10 K)

The following captures show the schematics and the variation in time of the sytem temeprature and the Vishay thermistor temperature, showing the overshoot amplitude and to relate it to all simulation parameters (thermistor response time, thermal mass of the system). ALL parameters are tunable and will give you a real knowledge of the circuit behavior.
