As pets become more and more domesticated they are staring to live the confined city life with even less activity than their normal habitat. Pet owners are growing ever more concerned with their Pets been locked to confined spaces (Units) while they are away from home (at work). This results in behavioural issues like damaged furniture, poor eating routines (8 hours without a meal). Both Cats & Dogs like fresh meals & if food or water is left out over several hours, they often will not eat. This results if food waste & also poor health & nutrition for Pets.
Automate the pet feeding process to a more regulated routine while also ensuring food & water freshness.
Since the system is an automated Internet of Things device can:
- Instil positive habits for pets
- Automate eating schedule for pets even when owners are not at home
- Provide owners insights in terms of the pets daily activity (reporting on fetches, feeds & subscription food delivery models)
- Produce a new range of product offerings (calcium pills into the water dispenser for stronger bones)
Built a working demo of the solution, I can further improve the proof of concept but I would incur additional costs that I can’t fund personally.

The problem with those devices is that they are not reward driven; it often means that owners need spend hours to try training their pets.
The unit can be designed is more intelligence to reward treats based on activity & fetches.
This means that owners get access to real stats and data, knowing how much activity their pets had during the day.
The brand is also utilizing IoT to build a competitive edge by enabling subscription models for pet food dispensing & automated ordering. This gives Purina & clear value proposition to both Cat & Dog owners who are looking to automate parts pet ownership.
