What?
The "Pulse Of The City" is an interactive art installation that was in SF, CA and Boston, MA.
Here is the scenario:
- We measure the heart beat of a passer-by
- We notify him with LEDs strips
- The measured heart beat value controls the playback speed of pseudo-randomly selected music tracks
- These data are stored and sent every day
How?
Technically, it consists of the following:
- An arduino reads the heart beat sensor and controls LEDs
- A raspberry pi plays music and send data with a 3G module
- All of it is solar powered, and the energy is stored in batteries
