Materials Needed:
- glue gun
- Stanley cutter
- 19 x 15cm piece of corrugated cardboard
- 2 x 8cm diameter circles of flat cardboard
- 4 x 25cm strips of purple paper
- 1 index card
- red, white and green paint
- blue spray paint
Day one
Brainstorm idea and make sketch
Day two
1. Cut cardboard into sizes needed
- We used corrugated cardboard for the main part of the cup because the corrugation allowed the cardboard to bend into the shape we wanted
2. Cut paper into strips and fold
- I glued two strips of paper together per handle to enforce it and make it stronger because one strip was too weak
3. Cut index card into triangular points
- I used an index card instead of normal paper because index card is firmer and would stand up better
Day three
1. Glue the pieces of cardboard together
2. Spray paint the top circle of cardboard in the cup blue
3. Paint outside part of cup red and inside white
Day four
1. Glue paper triangles onto cup (prickly)
2. Glue folded paper onto the sides of cup for handles (boing)
3. Paint green splotches onto cup (splat)
4. Put splotches of glue onto blue surface of cup in shape of ice cubes (cold)
