When printing with your 3D printer, it would be nice to know if the print starts to fail, and when it starts to fail as well.
By making a model print without filament, this can be compared with an active print to determine how the print is proceeding.
This is easily achievable with the Avnet Brainium meta-sensor.
The first step is to find a suitable location for the sensor. With a DaVinci Jr. printer the sensor can be attached with Velcro next to the hot end:
