RDM6300 is a 125KHz card reader mini-module designed for reading code from 125KHz RFID card. It can be applied in office/home security, personal identification, access control, anti-forgery, interactive toy and production control systems etc. In this blog, we will utilize its identification recognize function to do a door control system.
1. Upload demo to Iteaduino Nano
Download the demo here, and upload it to your Iteaduino Nano or UNO. This demo is without any library supporting.
2. Assembly
Please assemble the modules according to the following picture.
3. Read your ID number
Place your card on the coil of RDM6300, then you can open the Arduino IDE’s serial monitor to see what the card ID number is.
Write down the card ID number. You should revise the demo by typing these numbers in it later.
After revising demo and uploading again, you can install them on the back of your home door. Just like the video we show at the beginning, you can DIY a home door control system.
