This is a simple PCB design to link a pair of Raspberry Pi Camera connectors together, each PCB will require 2 connectors, they are surface mount connectors that need to be soldered on to the PCB, they can only go on one way, with the connectors facing the nearest long edge of the board.
N.B. The ribbon cable is installed with the contacts on the cable facing away from the PCB.
I used a pair of Amphenol SFW15R-2STE1LF surface mount ribbon cable adapters. I have not included the appropriate Eagle libraries, but they are easy enough to find.
I was able to get 10 of the PCBs manufactured by JLCPCB for £3.79, with about £4 shipping to the UK.
Attached are the board files if you want to use Eagle to modify them, and the.zip of files required for manufacture, you should be able to import the.zip file straight into the JLCPCB website and it should all make sense.
There are a number of improvements that could be made to the board, for starters the routing is only the basic autorouting and I'm sure there is a better solution!
If you are as terrible at SMD soldering as I am, I will be doing a through hole version of this board.
Version HistoryIn the most recent version of the board, 0.3, I have not routed the outer connectors, as they are not used. I have also included the open source hardware logo on the back of the silkscreen.
