I fixed the tuner to channel 3, which is what my TV Modulator supported, unmounted it and fixed it to the bottom of the TV.
The new "Tuner" will be connected to the Pi's GPIOs to select the channels.

The TV boots to linux. See the demo below. I don't know why my phone has problems recording the screen, it looks great.
