Survivor Accounting and Guidance for Emergencies (SAGE)
A system built using the Hologram Nova Cellular USB Modem and Raspberry Pi Zero W Kit to provide survivors and emergency services and responders with information on the layout of a site and location of people affected.
With a growing concern for safety due to incidents happening in various locations, a need has risen for a way for people to be aware of the environment, safety points and exits. There is also an importance in identifying where casualties are and for first responders to be able to provide alerts to those affected, such as avoiding a certain zone, staying hidden or trying to escape at a given time.
The Hologram Nova Cellular USB Modem and Raspberry Pi Zero W Kit is more than capable of delivering a gateway to a local audience and providing a communication channel to emergency staff who need to establish escape, rescue or contingency plans based information on the numbers and location of those who are in need of help.
The SAGE system will utilise to disseminate facts and advice for the victims as well as teams on scene to provide support. This remote monitoring will be facilitated by the site owners but populated and updated by all parties involved in an emergency incident. This will then be delivered via one an exciting addition to the IoT family that offers a unique cellular 3G w/2G that is Globally accessible with an efficient gateway that can be coded to deliver information and responsive services through Hologram’s effective yet simplified Python SDK.
