This project purpose is to protest the action of tailgating. This project was made using two vehicles, one attached with a flashlight, and another one attached to the circuit board express hidden with black cardboard paper.
What does it do?
When the toy car attached with CPX approached the other toy vehicle (light source) will light up and play a sound. According to the NHTSA, “in 2020, over one million rear-end crashes occurred in the United States”. With this in mind, I created my protest object to propose a possible solution to reduce the rates of tailgating.
By utilizing the onboard light sensor, I created a code on Make Code that will create sound and light base on the light level when enough lights hits the CPX and will also stop when its move away from the light source. I was able to make this code using adafruit “Make it Sense” tutorial as a guide.
