Description
Celebrate FSM invites Toq Watch users to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Free Speech Movement. When the user is within 50 meters of Savio Steps at UC Berkeley, Celebrate FSM sends a notification to the user's watch, prompting him or her to draw an image or word associated with one of six important figures in the Free Speech Movement of the 1960's. The user taps the corresponding card on the watch applet, which launches the drawing activity (source: Sue Smith, Tuts+) on the Android app, and draws the image or word. The drawing activity allows the user to choose from 12 colors, change the brush size, erase, and start a new canvas. After submitting the drawing to Flickr, the phone application retrieves a random drawing from Flickr tagged "cs160fsm" and sends a card with an image of the drawing to the applet, allowing the user to see another user's drawing on the watch app by tapping on the card labeled "View Drawing."
