Introduction:
The environment conditions of the room are to be monitored to make the plants feasible to grow in the closed environment. If the ambient light, temperature, humidity in a room are measured remotely then we can protect the plant by supplying artificial light radiation energy, temperature and water. Rapid IoT Prototyping Kit has on-board sensors like temperature, humidity, pressure, light, accelerometer, magnetometer which are helpful to the present proposed project to monitor the environmental conditions. This kit is used to monitor the environmental conditions and to control the solenoid valves to water the plants and ON/OFF artificial lights interfaced to its GPIO pins. The status can be viewed in Mobile app remotely.In present day artificial white color light is exposed to plants which will not give sufficient energy for growth of plants. In the present project we are designing the artificial light with Red and Blue LEDs by replacing with White color light. Red-Blue LED lights are used to supply sufficient light to produce food by plant because these colors are mostly absorb by plants from white light from sun. The blue color helps to grow vegetative growth for plants and red color helps for flowering and fruits growing. The plants inside the house will keep fresh air by supplying oxygen in room and absorb carbon dioxide by their respiration process. Placing plants in house will be a good option to protect the human health from a closed room. In Air conditioner halls like theaters, function halls, hotel room, meeting halls are closed rooms, to get fresh air if plants are placed they give oxygen and absorb the carbon dioxide so that plants and human will be healthy.
Method:
The rapid IoT sensor kit is placed on the plants to sense the environmental conditions of the in-door to check the feasibility.
The test is performed on the grass plants in in-door and out-door conditions.
Similar experiment is conducted on the other flowering plant
The experiment was conducted in out-door for the flowering plants
Out-door plant receives more light.
The experiments shows the better results for both in-door and out-door conditions for the better flowering and the intense light make the plant to get starving and watering is needed. If the plants are grown in-door less watering is required.
The Rapid IoT prototype kit helps to monitor the in-door environmental conditions using Mobile app. The on-board sensors with wireless connectivity help the user to interact the device with mobile app.
The rapid IoT prototype kit with the IoT will be a suitable device for users to monitor the room environmental conditions time-to-time remotely. If the conditions were abnormal then necessary action can be performed to keep the suitable environment for the plants inside the room by triggering the light or water pump. In my opinion this kit will be useful in in-door plants in movie theaters, offices, meeting halls, hospitals, etc to give fresh air when there is more human respiration so that the oxygen level will not get lower instead of artificial air circulation.
