Detecting PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for COVID-19

Our Essential Worker's Life is Important in these times of COVID-19 and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) plays a key role in keeping them safe;

We decided to make sure they are equipped with the right tool to enter the COVID room. In Today's world, it is the most relevant solution for all the hospitals, Marketplaces and other spots where wearing a PEE is mandatory. We can detect the 5 most common PPE (Googles, Mask, Face Shield, Full Cover, and Gloves). We have trained a Deep Learning Object Detection algorithm which can help us take a photo and detect easily.

We have developed a solution that can take input as an image or video and can process it and show if the Doctor has worn all the required PPE Kit. It can detect multiple doctors within a frame with the location. We can use it to make sure doctors are wearing the PPE before they enter the COVID section and no one inside the COVID section is without PPE. We plan to use already in place CCTV cameras to take videos and process in realtime.

We used Intel's OpenVino Toolkit to optimize our model for running on edge devices.

Also, we can integrate the algorithm with cleaning services which can help us detect PPE waste and not expose others to risk.
