Compelling need for innovation
Describe the business need/problem statement you are trying to address - 1.a) In a developing country like India, security is a big issue to deal with and bomb disposal squad plays a crucial role in it .Meanwhile, we must need a technology which can provide security to the members of squad who risk their lives for us. Hence, we decided to design a "WIRELESS BOMB DISPOSAL MACHINE" which will be controlled completely wirelessly so that the squad members must not risk their lives by entering into the proximity of the bomb in order to diffuse it. As a part of the project, we will connected all the centers through the internet so that any squad center having the operators for controlling can immediately control the machine from anywhere in the country!! Also, all the bomb squad centers will be connected through the internet connection enabling them to respond immediately in case of any such action required.!! 1.b) The machine will work on a FPGA board and can be controlled via the internet or LAN based control , RF communication,bluetooth and voice commands over internet. The machine will send continues wireless live recording to the receiving end and the robotic arm will too be controlled by the precise motors wirelessly by the FPGA/development board in order to ensure high precision of movement of robotic arm over the bomb case. The machine will be controlled wirelessly through a GUI in which ,the live data will be processed using processing capability of fpga along which ,the speech processing may also be performed in order to provide voice as another medium of control. Moreover, motor control with high precision will be installed on the machine which will enable the squad member to cut the required wires of the bomb at the site only via the motor control (if necessary else can lift the bomb with it) wirelessly from anywhere,without risking his life! For this,the machine will be made powerful enough to carry heavy weight bomb cases. 2:How is the issue being addressed today? What are the shortfalls? 2.a) Comparing with the current positions, this robot will be able to perform in any urban or rural conditions. With high speed motors,it can well move on a plain rural area, and with the staircase climbing mechanism, it can work at any floor of any building, which is a major drawback of many such other machines. Also, this machine can be accessed only by authorized user via the RFID based authentication technology. This machine has the capability to be controlled via internet,RF communication, bluetooth which nullifies the mandatory necessity of internet connection. In order to protect the machine from any dangerous situation from the bomb, the machine will be built from a suitable light and strong material. Finally , the machine will help us to save the hundreds of people who loss their lives in bomb attacks and the very brave squad members who risk their lives for our security! 3. If it's a new idea/radical solution, what is the issue the idea will address? The Idea, will connect all the bomb disposal centers of India, and will enable immediate action without risking lives. Thus, this innovation will digitize the bomb centers and will create a better digital India for a safer Country!!

ValueProposition This idea plays an important role in connecting the bomb squad centers digitally through the net so that the immediate action can be taken. Thus, making our country a better and safer digital India. As a part of the project, we will connected all the centers through the internet so that any squad center having the operators for controlling can immediately control the machine from anywhere in the country. Thus, a user from one part of country can save the lives of hundreds at the other part of the country. The machine is intended to work for the safety of the people. Moreover, it ensures the safety of the bomb disposal squad members who risk their lives for our safety. The machine will ensure that no squad will be required to come in the proximity region of bomb. Moreover, this machine gives the option of lifting the bomb case(maybe a bag or a suitcase of anything else) and carrying it in an open field so that one one will be harmed even if the bomb blasts. The machine can climb any staircase and so can be used in any urban scenario which limits the restriction of using machine in a single set of surrounding conditions. Thus, every single citizen of our country will be benefited irrespective of location, irrespective of rural or urban are through this innovation idea.
Implementation The machine will use the most suitable communication technology of IOT (Internet of things) which will enable the user to control the machine from any part of the world. The major challenge in this idea is that the machine might fail in case the internet connection is not available (mainly in rural areas). To deal with this limitation, we bring the idea of providing additional technology of bluetooth and RF Communication in order to make the machine work in case the internet is unavailable.We can use the development boards of intel or fpga or arduino in order to communicate with the device. the expected cost of these technologies by using a free domain service will be around 5500-6000. In order to provide real time processing, we are currently working with the processing ability of fpga and MATLAB software which can provide efficient noiseless data wirelessly from the cam attached to the user. We are done with the MATLAB processing algorithms and are currently working on interfacing FPGAs. The MTLAB is a free software for students evaluations license. Market price of an average FPGA board is 15000-20000 The servos plays a crucial role in handling the bomb connections and for this, we are working on controlling the servos wirelessly. Finally ,the GUI will be developed by the c++ programming providing user interface to control the machine and the rfid control will be provided ensuring that only authorized users can control the machine. We have worked with RFID control and is ready to be implemented and are currently working on GUI development. The robotic arm will be designed which will have servo connections which can lift the bomb case and can even cut the required connections. we have designed the design specifications of robotic arm and is ready to be implemented. The hardware of the machine includes body designing using autocad software, servo selection and chain wheels and also the required mechanism equipments for making the robot to climb stairs. We are currently working on hardware designing and the estimated cost will be around 12000-15000. As a whole, the project requires a total budget of 45000-50000. The expected time line of our work flow is as follows: wireless control designing and programming the modules --> robotic arm testing(simulation based) --> fpga testing and interfacing --> MATLAB processing algorithm implementation --> GUI development --> hardware designing --> assemble and testing --> implementation. Presently, we are on the 4th phase of FPGA testing and processing algorithm implementation.
