The project consists of a Nursing Call System. This system helps in emergencies that can be presented to patients in hospitals, clinics, nursing homes and other institutions where sick people are hospitalized. In many cases patients present health problems, necessities or accidents in bathrooms, so with this system it helps to communicate the nursing room with all the rooms and patients that are in charge, and thus to meet the needs of specific patients ( Bed Button and Bath Button). The system also helps to avoid that a consultation or procedure being performed by the treating physician is interrupted by outsiders with the indication of Blue (Doctor in Room). In many cases there are relapses in patients that generate emergencies and request that doctors attend these emergencies in specific, with the called system there is a blue code button that in hospitals means serious patient or emergency in patients, with this blue indicator on the Room, doctors can arrive and take care of the emergency soon. The nursing call system requires that the alarms generated by the patients be turned off only from the room of the call, this to ensure that the alarm is taken care of.
This system of call of nursing was realized with cards PSoC, in our specific case with the Card PSoC 4 Analog Coprocessor Pioner Kit like (Master) Control and general indicator of the system, which can control and monitor up to 128 Rooms (Single or Mulitples); And PSoC Cards 5 Prototyping Kit as (slaves) system room cards (one card per room) with the possibility of using it for rooms with more than one bed (multiple rooms). The communication protocol of the system is I2C, this to reduce the use of pins and increase the capacity of rooms to monitor.
System alerts are viewed and monitored from the nurses' room by means of an LCD monitor with I2C connection, and hallway lights that will be placed on each room to recognize the site and type of alarm. There are 4 types of light alarm: White Light: Alarm in Bed; Red Light: Patient Alarm in Bath; Green Light: Doctor in Room Procedure; Blue Light: Blue Code Emergency patient.
In the next picture we see how they located the controls, buttons and lights hall llamdo nursing system.
