Cultural District

This project started as an idea that would help to connect the art lover's in Pittsburgh to the events that we host at our venues. The app uses the CulturalDistrict.org RSS feed to parse local art events happening in Pittsburgh. You can ask the app for events for that day (or any day in the future). It also has the ability to look up events at just one specific venue. For instance, "Alexa, ask CulturalDistrict what is happening at the Cabaret tomorrow."

The goal of this project is to make it easier to connect people with the arts. Eventually, we I would also like to make it possible to purchase tickets to these events directly through Alexa. Currently, this is only supported in Pittsburgh but could easily be expanded to support cultural district's throughout the country and world.
