DIG3602 - Protest Object - "The Coffin of Hunger"

The project was to create an object that protests or highlights some issue. The issue I decided to highlight was world hunger.

The device works by using the light sensor on the Circuit Playground Express to detect if the lid is open or not. If it is, it then calls a function that roughly every 5.5 seconds, the neopixels flash red and the CPX makes a sound. This is signifying one more person dying of hunger across the globe, according to the UN.

If the lid is closed, the machine no longer does anything. This is an extra metaphor for what most people in rich countries do, and that is ignoring the problem since it doesn't affect them. We can easily shut the lid and put the issue aside since we don't struggle with these issues in our lives.
