The rules for the design is to keep everything as stock as possible, but upgrade it with an USB-C interface. The original plan was to keep it a 2 layer design and make it only with 0603 components. Although possible, it diddent make as a nice design and I opted to make it pretty instead
Made 2 weeks ago, and originally posted on hackaday. RP2040 Module comeing soon, folow my profile to get updates!
Changelog:
I tried to keep it as stock as possible, but with the added size of the USB-C the length got extended a bit for soldering the connector supports
The decoupling caps are on the bottom side of the RP2040 so a cutout is needed if you are placing this as a SMD component. This shouldnet affect breadboard usage though. I used a different low power DC regulator but it shouldent affect its usability.
There is no 0201 components in the design compared to the original RPI Pico.
You can make an integrated library and use the components for your own design, or download my Altium component library from my github. I post updates regulary
RP2040 is expected to be released in Q2 2021 :)
