I have recently worked in Sweden for a while, and there almost everybody works standing up at least a couple of hours every day. Everybody had electrical height adjustable desks . There was one colleague that worked every day for 6 weeks standing up.
When I came back to my office in Romania, we do not have adjustable desks, so I thought it would be great to have one at home.
This is just an idea yet, nothing is implemented, but I'm thinking about going the extra mile and integrating the desk's motor with a Raspberry Pi running Windows IoT. Also, I'm considering connecting it to my home Windows Server and connecting my laptop probably to my Windows Azure machines, too, so that it can calculate how long you've been working on your computer and tell you when it's time to stand up a little (or even force you :-) ). Only getting a confirmation from you, the Raspberry Pi will adjust the desk for you.
