During pandemic, lot of consumer turns to e commerce and the mushrooming of e commerce drop off point to seller. However, there is hazard of contacting covid19 at the drop off point due to the sheer number of sellers having have to physically drop the parcel to the logistic handling staff at the drop off point. Photo below shows a typical parcel drop off point. they have specific operating hour (eg: 9am-6pm) and rest during holiday and weekend.
A self service e commerce drop off machine powered by Core2 AWS IoT Edukit as main controller with user screen. Its operation has similarity to airport self service luggage check in machine, except that the solution is contactless for pandemic safety
Operating Principles.By using Alexa Voice Service, the seller can select the drop off service desired without contact with the machine. The machine then ask seller to scan the drop off item using M5stack unitV2 camera that works with IoT Edukit, and the system will then instruct the seller to place the parcel onto a conveyor belt that will ship the parcel into the drop off point storage. all parcel will go through a sanitizing handling (disinfection spray or UV-C exposure). This avoid physical contact between seller and drop off point worker. A bonus benefit of this machine is that it can be operated 24 hours and saving the number of staff required at each drop off point
