Bomb Bomb Revolution is a new way to play Bomberman! We knew we wanted to recreate Dance Dance Revolution and throw it into a game to make it more complicated, but we found that we also wanted another action to go into the game. That is when one of our members thought of playing Bomberman and using a prop bomb to place a bomb. So that is exactly what we made.
We used cardboard to make our step pads. They consist of three layer of cardboard. A base layer, a layer covered in aluminum foil, and a frame layer. There is a notch cut out at the top to allow the alligator clips to connect to the pads. We also have our prop bomb which we have made using a styrofoam ball which we painted, and added some yarn and a flame for a nice touch. The bottom half has been covered in aluminum foil to help with conductivity.
The code written in Makecode is simple but helps us achieve our goal. We have connected pins on the CPX to the arrows and B to place bombs. The alligator clips go from the pins to the notches on the pads where it touches the aluminum foil. When a player touches the pads it will move Bomberman in the direction they touched. To place a bomb the player will put touch the bomb to the bomb pad.
