The smart 220V outlet plug represents a leap forward in home automation technology, seamlessly bridging the gap between traditional electrical appliances and the digital age. With the ability to connect to a dedicated mobile app, this intelligent outlet plug empowers users with unprecedented control and convenience. Whether you're at home or on the go, the app allows you to remotely monitor and manage your connected devices, turning them on or off with just a tap on your smartphone screen. Gone are the days of worrying about whether you left an appliance on or need to physically unplug devices. Additionally, the outlet plug can be programmed to schedule operations, helping you save energy and reduce electricity bills. The smart 220V outlet plug not only enhances your home's efficiency but also brings a new level of convenience and peace of mind to your daily life.
In this project and tutorial, I'm using a Smart Power Outlet Plug Enclosure, the LK-EU01 sold by LK Shiny Enclosure, here. The smart hardware electronics I designed in KiCad, prototyped and tested myself, are available on this GitHub repository. If you like to know more about this DIY enclosure, here's the direct email contact.
This hardware electronics I ordered fabrication from Seed Studio Fusion , who are supporting this project by providing their hardware fabrication services cost-free,
- ExpressIF single core XTensa LX7 microcontroller, the ESP32 C3, with 4Mb of storage
- Power consumption meter
- Power Scheduler to take advantage of the lower price of electricity during late night time
- 2.4GHz Wireless Radio (WWIFI, BLutooth and all others)
- Fully compatible and a direct fit and installation with the WR5P module from Tuya
