Soil Health Prediction for Smart Agriculture Applications

I am an electrical engineer with my family affiliated with the field of agriculture. l have observed them working hard in the fields watering a large patch of earth. Right now they are just using guesses or rules of thumb when it comes to decisions like when to spray the crops or water the plants. I think with my project, I can give them motivation to use modern and smart agricultural practices. I have worked on the projects related to embedded systems, ML and image processing in the past. I am hopeful that I could show something great to the world with my work.

So, as far as my project working is concerned, I am going to train an AI model on a soil database and classify them according to the level of moisture. The job would be one step more complicated when we bring in another type of soil. So, this is where image processing algorithms would play their roles. I am going to address such issues in my work.

I know people would love this work and could possibly assist me in having a good prototype system.
