ESP8266 ESP01 Breakout Board

USB-TTL Adapter:

I'm using a cp2102 as USB-TTL Adapter, you should connect:

• RX => TX

• TX => RX

• GND => GND

• 5v => jack 2.1 middle contact

With 5v from usb-ttl adapter work fine for me, I can program and connect to wifi. You shouldn't use 3.3v from cp2102.

Pins:

• The 8 pins of esp01 are exposed.

• 5v and extra GND are available.

• Extra pin to connect external CH_PD is available, I'm using a jumper with pull up to 3.3v

Working:

Power supply should by with VCC outside.

TODO:

• Add a diode in jack input to prevent cross GND and 5v.

• Connect RTS with pin 2 and DTR with pin 7 (with pull up 4.7k?) and the esp will be auto programming (don't require press any button). I've tested it with this version of breakout and work fine!... comming soon v2!
