Do you have trouble pouring your Sprite, Pepsi, or Fanta into a glass straight out of the bottle for no apparent reason? Why not just build a soda fountain into your refrigerator instead? After all, kegerators seem to be quite popular these days…

One complication, of course, is that pumping liquid in a food-safe manner can be a bit tricky. YouTuber Kedar Nimbalker has an interesting solution to this problem, using an air pump to push air into a sealed container at the press of a button, which then pushes soda out of another tube to compensate.

Of course, there’s no guarantee that these cheap pumps aren’t pushing “extra” substances into the liquid, so it’s best to observe caution when dealing with anything that will go into your body. On the other hand, it’s a neat technique to keep in mind for future liquid transportation projects.
