Avnet Partners with Arduino for Exclusive Arduino Pro Hardware Kit Bundles

Exclusive bundles aim to make it easy to get started with everything from industrial automation to edge AI projects.

Avnet, and its subsidiaries Farnell, Newark, and element14, have announced a partnership with Arduino to launch exclusive Arduino Pro kits aimed at both professionals and enthusiasts developing industrial-focused projects — ranging from programmable logic controller (PLC) automation through to machine learning and artificial intelligence at the edge.

"With a variety of kits incorporating a range of Arduino technologies, our customers are able to find the right kit to support a range of applications," Avnet's Romain Soreau claims of the exclusive bundles. "These user-friendly kits provide everything needed to explore specific industry applications, from smart factories to connected agriculture. By leveraging the vast library of Arduino software and seamless integration with third-party solutions for AI transformation, Pro Kits unlock a world of creative possibilities."

"Our Arduino Pro kits showcase the best of our Arduino technologies in a suitable package for a range of application areas," adds Arduino's Keith Jackson. "We're pleased to be working with […] Avnet to offer these kits to the market exclusively through them."

The companies have announced five exclusive bundles, each targeting particular use-cases: the Arduino Pro Industrial Automation and Lighting Kit, which uses an Arduino Opta WiFi; the Arduino OEM Condition Monitoring Kit, which uses a Portenta Machine Control with RTD sensor and thermocouple; the Arduino Edge AI/ML (Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning) Vision and Speech Kit, based on the Portenta H7 with Vision Shield add-on; the Arduino Predictive Maintenance Kit, which uses a Portenta C33 with Nicla Voice and Nicla Sense ME boards; and the Arduino Prototyping Kit, which uses the Portenta X8 system-on-module in a Portenta Max Carrier.

The kits are available to order now from Avnet globally; Avnet subsidiary Newark is handling North America sales, element14 Asia-Pacific (APAC) sales, and Farnell Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) sales.
