Build Connected Devices Powered by Android Things!
Google, Hackster, and NXP have launched a contest for developers to showcase their use of Android Things and Google technology.
Android Things lets you build professional, mass-market products on a trusted platform without previous knowledge of embedded system design, using a turnkey hardware solution and an easy-to-use software development platform based on Android Studio and the Android SDK. Currently available as a developer preview, Hackster has teamed up with Google and NXP to launch a contest to see what you can do with its latest release!
The contest is now live, with three winners to be announced on November 10th for the best enterprise, startup, and IoT projects. Cash prizes of up to $5,000, Dragon Innovation certification and 12-month access to Dragon Innovation’s Product Planner are all up for grabs, and entries will be selected based on how well they represent the categories of smart homes, robotics, smart cities, manufacturing, retail, and/or entertainment.
If you’ve got a great idea, or think you can come up with one, be sure to check out the contest page and submit yours by September 29th — as we’ll be giving away 120 PICO-PI-IMX6UL kits to developers looking to build professional projects.
Final projects must be submitted by October 31st. Judging will be focused on documentation and creativity, and for bonus points you can include other Google services like Google Cloud or TensorFlow in your design.
