Mogees Play Lets You Make Music and Play Games on Any Surface

Now live on Kickstarter, Mogees Play is an innovative device that can transform any object into a unique musical instrument and gaming interface.

Mogees Play can be used for a range of applications, from playing Flappy Bird to creating tunes to turning your lights on, with an emphasis on being easy and fun to use and accessible to all — anytime, anywhere.

When connected to a smartphone, Mogees Play senses vibrations in the items it’s attached to and uses them to extract information such as velocity, timbre, length and speed (when these objects are touched in different ways) which it translates into sounds or actions which appear on-screen.

Mogees is simultaneously launching three new accompanying apps offering distinct experiences when using Mogees Play, which can be downloaded free for the device.

• Mogees Pulse: An addictive rhythm game with multiple levels which take the player through varied genres of music, subtly teaching the basics of rhythm, from simple dance beats to more complex styles from around the world.

• Mogees Jam: Enablesusers to develop the music they want, providing accessible tools to instantly build rhythms, melodies and loops using the acoustic properties of any object the Mogees Play device is attached to.

• Mogees Keys: Allows for the simple creation of melodies, arpeggios and chords using Mogees Play. Users can easily create musical grooves and melodic sequences with a huge amount of harmonic variety through simple note and mode selection.

This recently-revealed product employs the same advanced technology as Mogees Pro, which you may recall from its Kickstarter campaigns in 2014 and 2015. But whereas Mogees Pro is for professional and advanced musicians, Mogees Play is a lighter, stripped-down version designed for a broader audience of gamers and musicians of any skill level.

Passionate about giving as many people as possible the chance to use and experiment with Mogees Play, the company will be sharing its technology and opening its API, enabling developers to come up with new ways to inspire, entertain and teach with the device.
