Like many makers around the world, you may have found yourself with a craft room cluttered with tools and supplies. Maybe you have a cutting machine for vinyl decals, a pen plotter for greeting cards, an inkjet printer for photos, and a laser cutter for wood art. How much space could you save if a single machine possessed all of that capability? You can now find out thanks to the new xTool M1 Ultra.

As a leader in the laser engraver market, xTool noticed that dedicated makers often end up with several machines in their workshops. But many of those rely on similar CNC motion systems and thus an idea was born. This started with the original xTool M1, which put a laser module and a cutting blade in one machine. Now xTool has expanded that with the four-in-one xTool M1 Ultra, which has those tools, plus a drawing pen and an inkjet printing head.

This means that the xTool M1 Ultra can replace four different machines in your craft room, saving both space and money.

The xTool M1 Ultra’s multifunction design also enables new techniques that would be difficult or impossible to perform with separate machines. For example, you could use the inkjet head to print a picture onto a piece of wood and then switch to the laser module to cut that out. Because the same machine performs both tasks, positioning is easy. And it’s fast, as the xTool M1 Ultra’s Easy Swap™ Design will let you switch between modules in just three seconds.

At launch, xTool will offer both a 10W and a 20W solid-state diode laser module. Both of those operate at 455nm and work with the optional rotary axis add-on.

There are also several blade options to suit different materials. The fine-point blade is perfect for paper and vinyl, the cutting blade works better for thick materials like leather and balsa wood, the rotary blade is ideal for fabric, and the foil transfer tip is great for foil accents and debossing.

The inkjet module is similar to what you’d find on a nice printer and is capable of producing full-color (CMY) images. But unlike a typical inkjet printer, the xTool M1 Ultra will let you print those images onto almost any material you can imagine. Print directly onto fabric, or slate, or wood!

And, finally, the drawing pen module helps you achieve that hand-drawn look. It works with a variety of markers and pens, so you have the flexibility to get creative.

All of those functions are available within the same xTool Creative Space 2.0 software. There is even a feature that lets you use your phone’s camera to snap a photo of the workpiece and position designs.

But there is one function the xTool M1 Ultra doesn’t possess and that is heat pressing. Heat can be very useful when making t-shirts or pin buttons, so xTool is also releasing the xTool Heat Press Machine All-in-One Kit. That is a three-in-one machine that includes a handheld heat press, a mini press, a platform, and several accessories.

What's more, xTool's FlexiControl System provides precise temperature (100℃-205℃/212℉-400℉) and time (1-600s) control for wider applications on fabric, leather, coated wood/ceramic, and more. It supports HTV, sublimation, infusible ink, and DTF as well.

The machines in this xTool heat press ecosystem all support precise temperature and time control, so you get a perfect press every time. There are four customizable presets available through the EasyControl Hub, which you can use to save your favorite settings. And the EasyDetach platform helps you apply consistent pressure while keeping your hands free.

Together, the xTool M1 Ultra and the xTool Heat Press Machine All-in-One Kit can replace all of the other machines in your craft room. And the best part is that they’re affordable.

The xTool Basic M1 Ultra costs just $1,299 and includes a 10W laser module, a pen module, a fine-point blade, and a cutting blade. Or you can step up to the xTool Advanced M1 Ultra, which includes a 20W laser module, a pen module, all blades (fine-point, cutting, rotary, and foil transfer tip), and an inkjet module for $1,799. The xTool Heat Press All-in-One Kit costs $299.
