For many gamers, the NES game cartridges are as beautiful and nostalgic as the NES (Nintendo Entertainment System) itself. Considering how much time we spent blowing on the cartridges’ connectors, it’s only natural that a lot of us would form bonds with them. Some cartridges, like The Legend of Zelda (with its game-changing gold case), stood out among the rest.

But, if you’re jonesing for a truly special NES cartridge, then head over to Pigminted’s Etsy shop. There you’ll find stunning wood pieces of art that mimic the classic NES carts we all know and love. While each one has been inspired by the original game cartridge, the artwork on Pigminted’s creations are both unique and gorgeous.

Even better, these aren’t just art pieces that will sit gathering dust on a shelf, because they’re also Raspberry Pi cases. The bottom of each wood cartridge has a cavity big enough for a Raspberry Pi Zero, or Zero W. You won’t be able to access all of the ports and pins, but you can definitely reach the important ones (power, HDMI, and USB).

The cases are engraved on solid wood (either walnut or cherry). The standard option will set you back $60–70, depending on the design you choose. Or you can purchase one with a Raspberry Pi and cables included—perfect for building a RetroPie emulator to run all of your favorite NES games.
