The Best Black Friday 2024 Deals for Makers
We scoured the internet to find the best Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals for items that makers will love.
Black Friday may not be quite what it used to be, but there are still some good deals to be found. It is, however, a lot of work to hunt those down, so I’ve saved you the trouble! I scoured the internet to find the best deals (actual deals) on items that makers will find useful. Grab your wallet and let’s dig in.
Bambu Lab 3D printers
I use a Bambu Lab P1S 3D printer and usually recommend Bambu Lab printers to others, because they’re darn good. They’re very easy to use and provide great print quality.
Prices on Bambu Lab printers tend to remain pretty steady, but they’re offering some legitimate discounts at the moment for Black Friday. The A1 Mini, A1, P1S, and X1C are all on sale, as are the AMS and AMS Lite systems for multi-color and multi-material printing. The discounts vary, but they’re decent.
The best prices are on the Bambu Lab website.
Elegoo Phecda laser cutter
3D printers get lots of attention for good reason, but laser cutters are also extremely useful. The Elegoo Phecda is one laser cutter model that seems to have sailed under most radars, but which generally has good reviews. More importantly for the deal-seekers, it is very affordable and the Black Friday prices are even better than normal.
You can snag the 10W Elegoo Phecda Basic Package for just $189.99. There is also a 20W model available and packages with different accessories. Elegoo has Black Friday promotions on several FDM and resin 3D printers, too.

Fluke 15B+ Multimeter
Every maker and electronics tinkerer needs a decent multimeter. Heck, every adult needs a decent multimeter. Fluke is a very well-respected brand in that space and their 15B+ is a solid model with the features that most people will need.
The Fluke 15B+ is currently available as an Amazon Black Friday deal for $99.99. That’s only about ten bucks less than normal, but Fluke products don’t go on sale often and this is a good time to save a few dollars.
The best prices are on Amazon.
Anycubic 3D printers
For those in the market for an MSLA resin 3D printer, the value of Anycubic models is difficult to beat. They also have some affordable FDM filament 3D printers and even recently released the ACE Pro, which is a multi-filament system similar to Bambu Lab’s AMS and Prusa’s MMU.
For Black Friday, Anycubic has several models discounted. You can grab a Photon Mono X 6Ks or Kobra 2 Pro for just $199, or get a Kobra 3 combo with ACE Pro for $379. There are also deals available for filament, resin, and accessories.
The best prices are on the Anycubic website.
xTool laser cutters
xTool makes some really nice laser cutters for prosumer consumers. They aren’t cheap, but you can save some money right now with their Black Friday offerings.
There are currently sale prices for several xTool models, plus coupons scaled to spending. You can get $100 off $1499 or more, $250 off $2999 or more, or $600 off $5999 or more.

Cricut Explore 3 (Amazon)
Here’s my Thanksgiving hot take: I don’t think craft vinyl-cutting machines get enough love in our community. They’re so cool and can do so much! Cricut is the undeniable king of that mountain and there are nice deals on Cricut machines right now.
The Cricut Explore 3 is the perfect model for general work and you can currently snag one on Amazon for $199. That’s about $30 less than even the Prime Day sale, so now is a good time to buy.
The best prices are on Amazon, though Joann may be a better option if you have the right coupons.
A soldering iron
Like a multimeter, a soldering iron is pretty much a requirement for makers. There are all kinds available and many are currently labeled with “Black Friday Deal” on Amazon. But we recommend selecting a model with digital temperature control. A hot air gun is a huge bonus, as it will open up the world of SMD soldering.
Amazon overflows with generic soldering iron brands and this 760W M-T-AMZ-601 is one example with a price about $10 less than the previous lowest price. The reviews are favorable and it has some nifty features, like memory modes.

Power tools
Some projects require a bit more muscle and power tools are indispensable for doing the big work. The list of useful power tools is essentially endless, but nobody ever regrets the basics: drills, circular saws, reciprocating saws, and that sort of thing—the kinds of tools your dad wouldn’t let you touch when you were a kid.
Home Depot has an interesting Black Friday promotion where you get a free power tool with the purchase of certain tool and battery kits. That may sound a little complicated, but the basic gist is that batteries are expensive and they’re giving you free tools when you buy them. The promo includes Milwaukee, Ryobi, Dewalt, and Makita tools.
This promo is at Home Depot, of course.
Makeblock robot kits for kids
Give your kids a leg-up in the world of STEM and get a head start on your Christmas shopping by checking out the Makeblock Black Friday sale. Makeblock has educational robot toys for kids of all ages and they’re cool enough to make the adults jealous.
Similar to xTool, they’re offering discounts based on spending. $40 off orders over $200, $60 off orders over $300, and $400 off orders over $2,000 (perfect for schools). That seems to be in addition to the discounts on specific products, like the adorable mTiny and the versatile mBot2. And there may even be additional savings with a coupon (try BFP20 for 20% off).
