I wanted to avoid the maudlin choose-the-word-from-a-dropdown interaction, and at least have a fun user experience for such a simple translation. Because there were only 5 words, I had two main ideas: flashcards, or simple swiping/scrolling.

Besides the minimum, the app also supports a nice UI, translation from two languages at once, an auto-refreshing to/from spinner selection to avoid redundant options (like English -> English), and landscape support.
