This project is about IoT and what can accomplish for Security and Surveillance. A typical IoT architecture that could be used in each and every sector.
There is a Smart Sensor witch comunicates with a Gateway by LoRaWAN (The Long range and low Power wireless protocole of communication for embedded systems).
The Smart Sensor is composed by an electronic card and circuit we have create. On this card, there is plug a CMOD A7 and diffrents Pmod Sensors like GPS, HYGRO, ALS and LoRa. The Pmod LoRa doesn't exist, it's why we create it with a LoRa module. This Smart Sensor process the sensor's data for send it via LoRa to the Gateway.
The Gateway is connected to a Camera. The Camera capture images, and process them to extract only pertinent informations. This information is transformed to a little text that will be sent through LoRa to the Gateway.
This kind of technology is very useful if we want to put on a surveillance system and being sure that no one could hack us and get camera pictures because theses pictures are processed in interne and only texts are transmitted through LoRA, In further, LoRa has a constraint Payload Length (not enough for pictures and videos)
In the future, we want to connect the gateway to a datacenter for save the data of the differents sensors.
