This model has been enhanced with some technology so that it starts to glow as soon as the real ISS flies over.
In essence, current data from the ISS for your location is requested from the API of open-notify.org. As soon as the ISS rises above the horizon, the model starts to glow - and changes its color during the overflight...when the ISS disappears behind the horizon, the light goes out. Then, a countdown counts down the seconds until the next fly-over.
The ISS Tracker is powered by a NodeMCU which is placed under the LEGO plate. Next to it there's a 7-segment display for the countdown.
