Absolutely bonkers bang for the buck here! I bought this giant bag of buttons expecting them to be awful due to how cheap they are — I just needed a LOT of through-hole mounted momentary switches for a throwaway prototype. I was so pleasantly surprised at what arrived that I had to leave a review. They certainly aren’t perfect, but they are outstanding for dirt cheap buttons.
The bases feel rock solid once they’re soldered into a PCB, but the connection between base and cap does allow the caps to wobble under slight pressure approximately 20deg like tiny joysticks. No rattling though. They’re highly tactile and the action is pretty stiff, similar to an extra stout mouse click. I have been using six of them on a homemade macro pad for a couple of days (including for some light gaming) and so far have had zero issues of any kind. No bad switches so far, after checking about thirty of them.
Important Note:
This can be either a pro or a con depending on personal taste, but these buttons are EXTREMELY loud and clicky. Personally I love that about them, and fortunately so do my wife and kid. They are legitimately good as fidget clickers, by the way. Just don’t buy these for anything that needs to be quiet.
