Small, easy solar power panel that charges devices
Actual usable solar panel with a good amount of power to charge devices. This was a perfect size to tuck in my vehicle for a weekend camping trip. It is fairly lightweight, although it does need to be protected so that bending does not crack or break the solar panel cells. It also came with hanging clips, and various types of cables to charge larger battery banks, phones, etc. On a cloudy day with lower amounts of sunlight, it would not rapid charge but would certainly gave enough power to do a slow charge for my phone. On a sunny day, in direct sunlight the amount of power output surprised me. I was able to quick charge my phone and have my USB battery charger both charging at the same time. The only negative thing I came across is a bit minor, the charging 'hub' is affixed within a velcro pocket, which is on the other side where the solar panels need to be - so if laying on the ground it is a bit difficult to look for the light or to plug devices into the hub. While hanging, it was not an issue. And while they indicate that it is waterproof, the panels certainly seem to be put together well enough - but the hub in that velcro pocket I certainly would not want to get wet. If you will be going camping, or want an easy way to charge up devices should the power be out this is an effective solution in a small package.

    I took this to everest base camp because after somepoint you have to pay to charge and phone batteries would.not charge fully....so i opted for this option. Worked the best....charged my.phone fully while trekking without any hassel. Would def recommend.

    This is for the 30 watt panel: This last summer, I connected this to my batteried power supply and, even on a fully sunny day with the panels directly facing the sun, it would not produce more than 15 watts.

    I'm using this to keep my battery topped off in my truck which often sits for lng periods of time and I got tired of replacing the battery all the time or needing to put a charger on it. I had one of those cheap pwm charge controllers, so I put that in the truck, throw this up on the dashboard and I ran a wire to my battery through the firewall. Now when I need to use the truck I just fold up the panel and tock it between the seat and away I go. When I park again I pull it out and unfold it across the dash. It's working great to offset whatever parasitic draw my truck has that drains the battery after less than a week.

    How My Star Rating System Works & What They Mean:
    1 STAR - Pretty much junk and I would return and ask for a refund if I could.
    2 STAR - It works, but barely meets the minimum requirements it should in order to keep it and not return it, but I would not order again.
    3 STAR - It does what it was designed to do, but there's nothing really special about it. It's acceptable but not great.
    4 STAR - I am very comfortable recommending it to a friend because it is is well made, durable, and delivers on its advertised features, and I would buy it again.
    5 STAR - I really love it. The item exceeds my expectations of quality, durability and functionality. Not only would I purchase it again, but I would also actively encourage friends and family to do the same.

    I've never owned a portable solar panel like this one before, but thinking back to prior camping trips without easy access to power I sure wish I had. As shown in the product listing, the panel folds into a light and compact shape that is similar in size and weight to a leather portfolio you use for taking notes. When folded open it can rest flat on a surface or be hung using bungees and the grommets.

    To test the panel I set it up at 10:30 in the morning under the direct Texas sun in my backyard. I plugged in my iPhone 13 Pro Max and in 30 minutes my phone was charged from 25% to 40%. Pretty great! The panel comes with a host of power cord adapters that can be used with anything ranging from USB type devices to things that would generally plug into a wall. My plan for something like this would be to use it to charge up a power bank all day long while I'm active and using my phone or other electronic devices. I will then use the power bank to charge up everything overnight when the sun is gone.

    The one issue I found is that using the panel is not exactly as simple as it looks. The first time using it I plugged in the USB cord and then brought it outside and unfolded it. When I did that, 30 minutes later my phone had not received any charge whatsoever. The instructions are clear in stating that you should unfold the panel and expose it to the sun BEFORE plugging in a cable. Why this is necessary is annoying, but once I followed those instructions it worked as expected. Going forward, I know to not only follow these setup instructions to the letter but to also look for the stead green light that shows that a charge is being delivered. I'd deduct a half star for this if I could, but since I can't I'll round up to 5 given the overall overall quality and usefulness of the device.

    gatta watch out, the quick select says 200W but its only 30W if you look thoroughly enough. almost bought by accident.
