Customers find the resistor assortment to be a nice inexpensive set with a wide selection and accurate values. The functionality works well, and they consider it good value for money. The lead quality receives mixed feedback - while some find it good, others note the leads are super thin. The color coding and handwriting receive negative feedback, with customers describing the color codes as sloppy and the handwriting as poor.

Metal film resistors are about as accurate as you can get for an electrical component. They solder well, they are within 1% of the specified value. I am starting to use them more and more in my circuits because I don't have to worry about them being bad or being too far off value.
It may be just me:
I still have to double check the values with a meter because I can't discern the color of the bands without a magnifying glass. Old man problems I suppose. I also miss the thicker leads on the old carbon comp and carbon film resistors. The thinner wire on these can make breadboarding a test circuit difficult. Many times I poke a wire in and it bends rather than go in and make contact.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 3, 2021I wanted some metal film 1% resistors on the cheap. Seems you spend more on the shipping case than the quality of the parts they come in. The resistors seem to be of high quality and came shipped in a static bag that barely held all the parts. There was one row that got bent up but are still functional. The only complain I would give was the hand writing on each resistor strip showing the values of the resistors. It was a bit hard to read and had to go old school and read each resistor band and re-remark the strips. No show stopper there. I have my own parts drawer to put these resistors in and I feel I got a good price on them.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 18, 2023Received 30 different values, 20 of each value, total 600 resistors in the package. This should cover my resistor needs for a long time. If you're using this to bypass GM VATS, you may need to put two resistors in series to get the correct value for your car. For example, my car uses pellet #5 which is 1130 ohms design. So I use the 470 and the 680 together and it works perfectly. This is normal because resistors only come in certain sizes.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 10, 2024Assortment of resistors is good and functionally they work fine. Plenty of them for the money, I'm not going to run out for projects any time soon.
I gave it 4 stars since they work and are generally as described--if you have the tools and know-how you probably won't have any issues with these as they are. However, I did dock a star for a few minor quibbles:
1. The paper holders for the resistors have hand-written ratings on them, and unfortunately the handwriting isn't great. I presume the intent was to write an omega for ohms on the paper but it reads much more like a capital R. Additionally when a resistance rating is in the thousands of ohms, the K to signify 1000 ohms often seems to accidentally connect the top of the k in such a way that it looks like an R which confuses things further. I had to run all of the color codes through a resistor calculator to get exact resistance numbers.
2. Some of the numbers are written in ways that don't quite make a lot of sense. For example, the 6.8k ohm resistors were written as 6k8. Personally I read this as "6008". Because the K was placed in an odd location and there was no decimal, it wasn't clear exactly how many ohms this resistor was, again, without putting it through the calculator.
3. The resistor color codes were not consistently in the correct top-to-bottom order, sometimes they were placed in their paper slips backwards.
4. At least one other review mentioned, but the colored bars on the resistors aren't painted in the best way, and some are too thin or faded to read. Make sure you organize them to keep on tops of their numbers.
And just one last little silly thing--I for some reason had a single 140 ohm resistor in the package, and there were no others in the package with that rating. It's close enough to 150 that it's not the biggest deal ever, but it was just funny.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 10, 2023I have other 1/4W resistors with leads too thick to push into a solderless breadboard. These leads are super thin and fragile. I tested a strip using a TH2821 LCR meter. A few were 5% under at room temperature. If you need an assortment in a hurry, these are OK. I would not use them in production unless they were soldered down to a PCB. As others have mentioned, some of the handwritten labels are illegible. Yes, it's industry standard to use a K or M in place of the decimal point.

- Reviewed in the United States on November 15, 2023I taught a class on basic electronics for digital media students for a while. No textbook existed that was appropriate for the class, so I ended up writing one. As part of that book, I wanted my students to be able to re-create many of the basic circuits I included in it so they could gain some hands-on experience. I priced components very carefully so students could build their kits as affordably as possible.
I built my own kit so I could demonstrate in class the things I discuss in the book. These fit the requirements well, and seem to be good quality as well. I was extremely pleased to find these 1% tolerance resistors at a better price than 5% resistors.
