- Reviewed in the United States on November 14, 2024Number of Items: 5Verified PurchaseI originally tried this product "Eiechip dc to dc Step up Converter DC Voltage Regulator Voltage Converter Step Up dc Boost Converter USB Power Module Supply Module 2V-24V to 5V-28V 2A MT3608 Mico USB (Pack of 10)" which is physically smaller than this product. But it couldn't seem to output the current I needed. This one has more power and cured my issue.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 19, 2023Number of Items: 5Verified PurchaseMy Particular Use: Boost 12vd to 26vdc for operating a Transfer Relay with 26 vdc coil voltage. 26 volt relays are readily available surplus and are much cheaper than 12 volt relays. (Requires a snubbing diode at the output.)
Pros:
Clearly marked circuit board and solder terminals with both input and output identified and polarity of same.
Bourne Multi-turn potentiometers are of good quality and make adjustment smooth and easy.
No apparent noise generated to my ham radio receivers. (always a potential problem with switching supplies)
Very inexpensive, at about $2 unit cost, 5 supplied in the package.
Provide up to 4A current ...way more than any relay I would use requires (typically < 200 ma.)
Cons: I can't think of any. They are perfect for my application
Be sure to measure and set the output voltage appropriately for your project BEFORE connecting these modules to any equipment!
- Reviewed in the United States on January 6, 2023Number of Items: 5Verified PurchaseThis product is great.
LIKES:
1. EASY TO USE
2. Good Value for money
3. Accuracy is pretty good...Surprisingly mine can have an INTAKE vdc as low as 1.37VDC....BUT keep in mind these boost modules are rated for INPUT 3.0VDC-30VDC AND STEP UP VDC to OUTPUT 5-32 VDC
DISLIKES:
1. HEAT production occurs and depending on your INPUT VDC to OUTPUT VDC + THE LOAD also known as what you are using these Boost Modules to power = more or less heat production of which is released from the module...That being mentioned my dislike is...not the best boost module heat management. No cooling Fan or radiator
- Reviewed in the United States on August 9, 2024Number of Items: 5Verified PurchaseI purchased this so I could use a small 110 v ceiling fan in my Rv with 12v input the 60v output worked as it was designed for dc operation. It’s small enough to be integrated into the fans housing. It works great so far.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 6, 2024Number of Items: 5Verified PurchaseI used this to resolve a problem of cutting out my Hummingbird Fish Finder when starting boat engine. Set output voltage to 15.5vdc and not a problem since.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 17, 2023Number of Items: 5Verified PurchaseThe specs are misleading in that if you input less than ~ 3.5 volts, the output will go to more than 50 volts. Also, the output spikes between 30 to 50 volts when input power is removed. And that can certainly damage most electronic circuitry. The quality is only fair, leads on one of the potentiometers was not trimmed and was shorted together causing the output to go to more than 50 volts. If you are going to use this module, you need to clamp the output to no more than your circuitry can handle and carefully inspect the modules for problems and test the modules without your circuitry connected to be safe.

- Reviewed in the United States on March 16, 2024Number of Items: 5Verified PurchaseLooking at the module, it seems well made enough and the set screw potentiometer works as long as input voltage is above a certain level. This is similar to what CBO and Robbins mentioned in their reviews. Unfortunately, if input voltage drops below 3.7v the output is very unstable. I used these with a solar powered set up which charges a 19850 li-ion battery to power an Arduino. I had checked the output voltage and adjusted it to about 9v to use in the Vin pin of the Arduino. Later I found that the output voltage changed to a much higher value by itself - , and suspect that's what fried two Arduino nanos. I I initially thought it was a circuit error on my part.
